F&M Trust recently donated $3,500 to United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County to support the work the organization does to address the most critical needs of communities in its footprint.
The nonprofit provides funding to 23 agencies and 35 programs that focus on education, income, health, and providing a safety net for residents experiencing crisis. It also operates heating-assistance, tax-assistance, and prescription-assistance programs.
“The United Way does a fantastic job of bringing together people and resources to build stronger, healthier communities,” F&M Trust President and CEO Tim Henry said. “The bank is pleased to support the work that the organization is doing in Carlisle and Cumberland County.”
As a result of the United Way’s efforts, more than 23,000 people in Cumberland County have received assistance with basic needs, more than 7,500 children and families have received nutritious food, and more than 5,300 people have been given access to healthcare services.
