February 8, 2022

F&M Trust announced a donation of $2,000 to United Way of the Shippensburg Area’s annual fundraising campaign.

United Way of the Shippensburg Area has 22 partner agencies, including fire and rescue companies, food assistance programs, and youth organizations.

“We are pleased to once again support United Way of the Shippensburg Area and to recognize the positive impact its work has in our communities,” said Tim Henry, President & CEO of F&M Trust. “Because of the organization’s efforts, residents of Franklin and Cumberland counties have access to a variety of resources that help to improve their lives.”

The United Way strives to improve education and cut the number of high school dropouts every year; to help people achieve financial stability and get working families on the road to economic independence; and to promote healthy lives and increase the number of youth and adults who avoid risky behaviors.

“The annual donation from F&M Trust is very important and impactful to us,” said Melissa Varner, Executive Director of United Way of the Shippensburg Area. “It helps us to follow through with our commitments to the agencies that we support.”
