CHAMBERSBURG, Pa – F&M Trust is pleased to announce the following recent hires:
Christian C. Merritt III has been hired as F&M Trust’s Vice President, Investment and Trust Services Market Manager for the Cumberland County/Capital Region. In his new position, Merritt is responsible for supervising his own team, devising strategies to help clients meet their financial goals, providing periodic reports and insuring compliance both internally and externally, among other duties. Merritt brings over 21 years of financial services experience to the role. Prior to joining F&M Trust, Merritt served as a vice president, private advisor at BB&T Wealth. In addition to holding a Pennsylvania Life and Health Insurance License, Merritt also passed the series 7, 6, 63 and 65 NASD securities licensing exams. Merritt resides in Mechanicsburg. He is based in Camp Hill.
Jennifer Johnson has been hired as the Training and Development Officer for the Human Resources Department. In her new role, Johnson is responsible for administering bank training programs, facilitating blended learning programs and developing training support materials, among other responsibilities. Johnson previously served as a business trainer and analyst at Citigroup. Engaged in her community, Johnson is a board member of the Home Owners Association and a pastor at LifeHouse Church in Hagerstown, Md. She is based in the corporate headquarters in Chambersburg.
F&M Trust has hired Shelby White as its Corporate Communications Officer. In her new role, White is responsible for the bank’s overall communications initiatives, including media relations and developing strategies to support the bank’s internal and external communications. White joins F&M Trust from the Central Penn Business Journal where she worked as the publication’s banking and finance journalist. A native of Illinois, White currently resides in Hershey. She is based in the corporate headquarters in Chambersburg.
